Scrambling or Mountaineering is the middle ground between hill walking and rock climbing. It is a great way to explore the mountains in a fast and efficient way without the faff that can come from pitched rock climbing. Developing good mountaineering skills is key to exploring the larger mountain ranges of the Alps and beyond. The mountains of the UK, whilst smaller in scale, are a great place to gain these skills without the pressures of altitude or time pressures and provide fantastic adventures in their own right.

We aim to get you covering new ground and having fantastic days out in the British mountains!
We can run these courses in a variety of places. North Wales has many great scrambles in a small area and is fantastic for big link-ups in the Ogwen valley and Llanberis Pass/Snowdon area. The Lakes also holds many spectacular scrambles in picturesque settings. The biggest terrain in the UK is undoubtedly in Scotland with many all time classic scrambles found the length of the Highlands and the UK’s closest thing to a route of Alpine scale – the Cuillin Ridge traverse on Skye – a big undertaking for anybody!
